intro to my book..
Mood:  hug me

An innocent child born into a life of abuse, neglect and total dysfunction was saved by his adoptive family. They showed him how to forgive his horrific past and learn how to move forward and love again.

Self destructive, drug addicted parents Wade a gang member and Bridget an alcoholic conceived their first child under false pretenses. Bridget forced the pregnancy on him and he decided to abandon her. Addiction got the best of her and Armond was born early. Protective Service found Bridget unfit and she was ordered to rehab. Armond spent the first 3 months of life in the hospital and the next 3 months in foster care. Bridget became pregnant again while in rehab. She finds a mentor named Karen through rehab, Karen helped with the reunification of Armond and invited them to share an apartment. She started seeing Wade again and returned to her dead end lifestyle. Karen caught them abusing Armond and had enough. Wade moved Bridget and Armond into a motel. She gave birth to her second child a biracial baby girl and named her Kartisma.

Bridget learned Wade was molesting the baby and ran away with her in the middle of the night leaving Armond and a note behind. Wade left Armond in the care of his Grandmother who also abused him everyday. A year later Wade returned and took over the Grandmother’s home turning it into a flop house. He started sexually abusing Armond and justified it by confessing his own Father molested him as a child. Bridget showed up months later homeless with two daughters and pregnant again with her fourth child. Wade found the Grandmothers dead in her bed and did nothing about it. Informants turned on Wade and helped the police with an undercover surveillance sting. During the raid Wade gets out of the handcuffs grabs an officers gun and shoots it. The police return fire and he is killed in front of his children. All the children were split up and went to foster care. Armond had a mental breakdown and was committed to a hospital and later released to an orphanage. Bridget gave birth to her fourth child while incarcerated. She relinquished parental rights to all four children and moved to Alaska with her new boyfriend. Armond was adopted and learned that “The end is the beginning” for him!
